1. When did you start drawing?
I started drawing when I was... maybe six or seven. I was really young. And I had been going through lots of surgeries on my legs so I had little else to do. I took up drawing because it was fun, and gave me something to pass the time while I was in casts. I liked the PPG (Powerpuff Girls) style so I drew a lot of that.
2. Why did you join DeviantArt?
I honestly don't remember how I came across the site. But I wanted to find a place where I could share my art with others and keep better track of it. I joined simply because it was a free, easy-to-use website that seemed the most reliable than just using Photobucket or something.
3. What got you into bases and dolls?
I discovered bases a while back. I was struggling to draw anime like I wanted to try, and I remember finding a blank template someone had made. I started using them after learning of the term 'base', and from there I was hooked. Over a long time, I think I can say I've improved quite a lot.
4. Do you use a tablet?
No. I don't have one [yet]. I don't have a scanner either, and I really don't want to have to use my crappy-quality webcam to take horribly blurry shots of artwork I try drawing on paper to upload. For now, I use a wired mouse for all my works.
5. What programs do you use?
I use MS Paint (Win7) and Gimp 2.
6. Who are your idols?

7. Do you take requests? (e.g. "can u make a base of this plz", "can u draw my oc like this")
No. Read my profile. It's right there. I used to take requests for bases and dolls, but as of right now, I don't. They are only for friends (and by "friends" I mean people I have known and talked to a while; I'm not going to do free art for you just because you think we're best friends).
8. Why do you leave off the other ear in your pony bases?
Because of several reasons. 1) I suck at improvising ears, 2) it makes it easier for people to draw the top part of the mane without the other ear in the way. At least, it works for me, 3) it's actually kind of cute the way it looks, in my opinion.

You don't have to ask to make fanart. Just link back to it when you're done so I can see what you made. ^^
12. Why did you decline my Art Trade request if you accepted someone else's?
I decline Art Trades from people who's galleries are full of recolors, poorly done base dolls, and low quality sketches and other things. I'm very picky and anal about alot of things, and I like to do trades with someone of decent skill, not just anyone.
13. Why do you sometimes disable comments on your art?
Because I'm often annoyed by the crap comments I get from people, whether they're outright stupid, unrelated, or trollish. I don't want to deal with it, so if I get a few of those, I react with the simplest measure that isn't just hiding the comments.
14. How do you put gradients on your pictures?
Gimp. It has a gradient tool. It's free, you can download it safely from here.

1. Are you a boy or girl?
Girl.
2. How old are you?
Twenty-four.

I have a boyfriend.
4. Do you like being called Softfang or Softy?
Either is fine; I don't mind whatever nicknames you come up with for me. For instance, :devSexyass-pixels: dubbed me Softers. XD
5. Where does Softfang come from?
'Softfang' was a nickname that an old camp friend gave me. She was deaf, and she wanted to give me her own personalized sign-name. Softfang stuck. It was very fitting, and still seems appropriate. Soft because I'm sensitive, shy, and passionate about things; fang because I can also be fairly bitchy and protective when I want to be.
6. Why are you so rude sometimes?
I'm only rude when I'm hit with the same questions or irritating problems that I've had to answer over and over in the past. Such as asking for requests, or giving me links to things on my profile when I'd rather they either Note me or link me under whatever base of mine they used. Trust me, I think you'd be a bit ticked off too if you had to go through things like that daily.
7. Do you go to school?
No. I dropped out in 11th grade (public school) and then I was homeschooled from there and got very very far behind (due to personal reasons). I still need to get my GED.
8. Do you have a job?
No. I have actually never had a "real" job before. I really don't think babysitting counts, either. I'm not able to work right now (for personal reasons), so that is being pushed back for a while.

3. Who is your least favorite pony and why?
I don't care much for Rarity.
4. "Brony" or "Pegasister"?
I hate the term "pegasister", so I like being called a brony regardless of my gender.
5. How did you become a brony?
An old friend of mine was constantly nagging at me about how awesome the show was. Back then, I was in denial--I thought the show was stupid and silly like most bronies start out thinking. Then, one day I noticed we had the Hub on our TV. So one morning I chose to sit down and watch the episode that was on (Owl's Well That Ends Well). I was hooked halfway through it. And thus began my passion for ponies.
6. What's your opinion on the pony fanbase?
It's a little complicated; I consider myself one of the 'sane' bronies. I don't like the porn side of the fanbase, or the side that tries to shove ponies down other peoples' throats without any respect toward that person and their own opinions no matter how different they are. I like the nicer, cuter side of the fanbase that focuses on the ponies as role models rather than sex objects. I don't really mind if there are "plot"-based images or even cute pairings. But when it's detailed with body parts that aren't even visible in the show itself (pony pussies, dicks, etc.), it's highly disturbing. That and the ecchi stuff with ponies making out detailed with saliva and tongues. I dunno. It's complicated. I like the cleaner, more innocent stuff. Socks are fine. Even ponies in lingerie is fine. Just so long as there's no obviously sexual details added - cum, pussy juice, etc. etc. etc. Then it's just annoying and gross to me. **Keep in mind, I'm not a fan of furries, so anthro images are just weird to me--clean or not.**

8. How many OCs do you have?
11+, though only about a few are drawn frequently.
9. Out of all of your OCs, which ones are your top favorites?
Paragon Ire and Puddleheart.
10. Where do you come up with your ideas for your characters?
Some of them are inspired by previously existing non-pony characters I have. I decided to give them pony forms because why not.
